shoulder, not just overall fastener length.

SHOULDER LENGTH

SHOULDER DIA

THREAD

SHOULDER LENGTH: bearing surface under head -> shoulder at the threaded end.

SHOULDER DIAMETER: measure the precision unthreaded shoulder.

THREAD: identify thread diameter and pitch/TPI separately.

HEAD and socket dimensions are separate dimensional features.

Do not order a shoulder screw using only overall length.

IDENTIFICATION ORDER

Product -> diameter -> thread -> length -> head/drive -> grade/material -> finish -> governing specification
