Hot-Dip Galvanizing

Hot-dip galvanizing dips the part in molten zinc to form a thick, metallurgically bonded coating. It is the standard outdoor finish for structural and utility fasteners.

Hard rule: an HDG bolt takes an HDG, oversize-tapped nut. A plain nut will not fit, and forcing it strips the coating.
